From 28.04. – 02.05.2013 german electronic pioneer Asmus Titechens will embark on his first ever tour through the UK. There will be five concerts in five different cities, plus one interview session for London station Resonance FM. Asmus Tietchens will be joined on tour by DJ Zipo (aufabwegen), who will play experimental DJ sets before and after the live concerts. There will be other acts performing at the various venues too. aufabwegen will have a record stall at all events offering lots of Tietchens material including the recently released box set “Tarpenbek”. Please come and say hi.

The Hamburg based label Bureau B, specialized in reissues of 1970/80ies “Kraut Electronic”, will reissue all four SKY LPs by Asmus Titechens, both on vinyl and CD. The reissues of the works Biotop, Spät-Europa, Litia and In die Nacht will all feature bonus material – different to the bonus tracks included on the Die Stadt reissues. The liner notes for all four reissues will be written by Kai U. Jürgens, who also edited the “Monography” on Tietchens for the aufabwegen imprint.

Am 20.März 2013 wird die neue Veröffentlichung von Asmus Tietchens und Rolf Zander, TARPENBEK, der Öffentlichkeit in einem abendfüllenden Programm vorgesetllt. Ort des Geschehens ist die Hörbar in der Brigittenstr. 5, 20359 Hamburg, der Beginn ist um 21.00h un der Eintritt beträgt 5 EUR.
Das Programm des Abends sieht in etwa so aus:
- Einführung: Dr. Kai U. Jürgens
- Präsentation der Kompositionen “Tarpenbek” (Tietchens) und Projektion der dazugehörigen Motive der Radierungen von Rolf Zander; beide Künstler sind anwesend
- als Einsprengsel zwischen den 12 Stücken kurze Pelzwurstlieder-Vorträge von Ditterich von Euler-Donnersperg betreffend die Fauna der Tarpenbek
- aufabwegen Stand an dem die TARPENBEK Box erworben werden kann (Standard Edition und Vorzugsausgabe)
