Till Kniola was invited to give a little lecture about „Zukunftsmusik“ in the context of the Science Fiction Festival at B\u00fcrgerzentrum Schuhfabrik Ahlen. The lecture will take place on Monday 17th June 2019 at 20.00h, the entrance is free.<\/p>\n

In the little talk Till Kniola will try to imagine a possible music of the future as well as make proposals for future ways of experiencing it. The lecture will be held in German language.<\/p>\n

The lecture will be followed by a DJ set by DJ Zipo [aufabwegen] playing a collage of ambient\/noise\/field recordings as a possible music of the future. The DJ set will be accompanied by a video-collage by Andrew Hulme of O Yuki Conjugate, specially made for this occasion. The entrance for the DJ set is free too.<\/p>\n

\u201e… unendliche Weiten!\u201c so k\u00f6nnte der Ausblick bei einer Reise in die Zukunft aussehen. Doch wie wird eigentlich zuk\u00fcnftig gereist? Wie sieht die Mobilit\u00e4t, die Bewegung, die Arbeit in der Zukunft aus? Gibt es dann \u201eBeam me up, Scotty!\u201c, Zeitreisende oder stehen wir nur noch im Stau? Denken wir an die Zukunft geht die emotionale Farbpalette von der rosaroten Wolke bis zur dunklen Macht. Wie sieht das Bild der Zukunft aus? Und wie k\u00f6nnen und wollen wir diese Zukunft gestalten?
\nDie Frage nach der Gestaltung der Zukunft ist das zentrale Motiv des Science-Fiction-Festivals \u201eZukunft hei\u00dft Ver\u00e4nderung\u201c des B\u00fcrgerzentrums Schuhfabrik e.V. in Ahlen. Mit k\u00fcnstlerischen Aktionen im \u00f6ffentlichen Raum, wie die die filmische Zukunftswanderung durch Ahlen mit der Hamburger K\u00fcnstlergruppe \u201eA Wall is a Screen\u201c am 14. Juni, durch Vortr\u00e4ge \u00fcber \u201eZukunftsmusik\u201c und K\u00fcnstliche Intelligenz, der Preview von \u201eApokalypse M\u00fcnsterland\u201c am 19. Juni unter dem Titel \u201eZukunft braucht Kultur\u201c, verschiedenen VR-Animationen, einer wandernden Kofferausstellung zur \u201eZukunftsreise\u201c, Geo-Mazing Workshops f\u00fcr Jugendliche, einem Filmprogramm vom Blockbuster bis zum Science-Fiction aus Afrika versucht die Schuhfabrik den Raum des digitalen Zeitalters so weit zu \u00f6ffnen, dass eine Diskussion \u00fcber die Gestaltung der Zukunft fernab der \u00fcblichen Dystopien und Utopien entstehen kann.
\nDas alles findet vom 13. \u2013 23. 06. 2019 sowohl im Festivalzentrum, dem futuristisch inszenierten Saal des B\u00fcrgerzentrums als auch im \u00f6ffentlichen Raum der Stadt Ahlen statt. Und zum Schluss schreibt der mobiler Roboter \u201eSkryf\u201c des niederl\u00e4ndischen K\u00fcnstlers Gijs van Bon in der Fu\u00dfg\u00e4ngerzone in Ahlen tempor\u00e4re Zeilen, was die Zukunft bringt.
