He was one half of the legendary rave act ILSA GOLD.
This changed drastically in the second half of the nineties when he lost any interest in beatbased precomposed music just to discover and combine two new fields of interest: computer based music creation by self developed software instruments and musical improvisation that leads to droney, soundtrack-like long sound pieces that evoke connotations of dreams (some might say nightmares) and abstract narrations.
These diverse fields of music led to approx. 20 vinyl and 10 cd releases on such labels as Mego (at), Staalplaat (nl), Praxis (ch), and his own label dOc Recordings.
Since 2000 he advanced towards sophisticated interactive projects that include collaborations with musicians from a symphony orchestra, networked audio visual performances, and twelve tone composers.
When starting the very sucessful WASTED parties together with Jason Forrest in 2005 his early nienties past caught up with him and since then he is trying to be active in all his different fields at the same time which can get stressy of times.
In 2007 he received a one year working grant from austrian foundation SKE Fonds.
His next studio album (since NOONBUGS on Mego in 2002) is scheduled for early 2008 on the Porto based label CRONICA ELECTRONICA

http://pure.test.at

Sa. 29.11.2008, Einlass: 20.00h, erstes Konzert: 20.30h aufabwegen präsentiert: Geräuschwelten #48 ASMUS TIETCHENS (grey sound matter) & THOMAS KÖNER (the master of polar ambient!) & HATI vs. PURE (Ritual gongs meet SuperCollider landscapes, PL/AT) & LEE KWANG GOH (Good vibrations from Malaysia) Black Box/cuba Achtermannstr. 12, 48143 Münster

[46,55,4,60,14,56,58

post-26","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","hentry","category-asmus-tietchens","category-hati","category-konzert","category-lee-kwang-goh","category-blackboxcuba-cultur-munster","category-pure","category-thomas-koner","entry
["GET
