Nocturnal Emissions (UK)<\/strong> Blackbox\/cuba-cultur Mit Nocturnal Emissions kommt ein Projekt erstmals nach M\u00fcnster, das die Subkultur der Industrial Music in den 1980er Jahren entscheidend mitgepr\u00e4gt hat. Nigel Ayers, der Mittlerweile in Cornwall lebt und vor allem in Klanginstallationen realisiert und exzentrische Heimatstudien betreibt, hat f\u00fcr diesen Auftritt die Nocturnal Emissions als Live-Projekt reanimiert. Man darf gespannt sein, wie der Soundupdate klingen wird: wir erwarten vertrackten Ambient mit ger\u00e4uschhaften Momenten. Helge Siehl war ein Drittel der gro\u00dfartigen Gruppe Maeror Tri, die wahrscheinlich den Doom-Drone-Hype um Jahre vorweggenommen haben. Als 1000schoen schafft er fragile und tribal anmutende Soundlandschaften irgendwo zwischen fr\u00fchem Eno und Zoviet France. Das Duisburger Kollektiv Das Moloch arbeitet nur live und schafft f\u00fcr jeden Auftritt eine eigene audiovisuelle Performance mit Bildern, Synthmodulationen Tanz. Es k\u00f6nnte ein bunter Abend werden! Ger\u00e4uschwelten wird gef\u00f6rdert durch das Kulturamt der Stadt M\u00fcnster.<\/p>\n NOCTURNAL EMISSIONS<\/strong><\/p>\n The Nocturnal Emissions project, masterminded by Nigel Ayers, has been on the cutting edge of new music since the 1970s. 1000schoen<\/strong><\/p>\n Helge Siehl is the driving force of 1000schoen since the time he parted ways with the other two former Maeror Tri members. This album shows the more Dark Ambient side of 1000schoen, leaving the rhythmic path behind in favour of menacing sounds of highly personal moon rising visions. The symbol of 1000schoen reflects the celestial bodies of Sun and Moon in inseparable symbiosis, which we can see in all that we can imagine. The world of 1000schoen art and experience moves in this continuum as well. <\/p>\n DAS MOLOCH<\/strong><\/p>\n Ruhrgebiet<\/p>\n Das Moloch besteht seit Ende 2008. Als Duo begonnen ist es mittlerweile ein Quartett. Es improvisiert in Bild, Klang und Performance. Dazu erarbeitet jedeR f\u00fcr sich – und mehr oder weniger konstant – Material zum Thema st\u00e4dtischer Isolation\/\u00f6ffentlicher Raum (was, wie, womit – egal), zwei am Klang, eine am (Video-)Bild und eine Kunstfigur. Ein Teil des jeweils „aktuellen“ Materials wird dann live zusammengef\u00fchrt.<\/p>\n Das Resultat ist einmalig (keine Konstellation wird wiederholt, kein Material erneut verwendet, keine offiziellen Aufnahmen oder Tontr\u00e4ger), klanglich meist ambient, bildlich ???. Technisch sind meist zwei laptops (1x Video, einmal „vorgefertigte“ sounds) im Spiel, dazu dann Faktor x (im Moment oft ein old-schooliger Doepfer synthesizer, es gab aber auch schon tapes, Tretminen jedweder Art, Kontaktmikros, verschiedene circuit gebendete Aparaturen und nen Industrieventilator – mit Taschenrechnern und Abaci best\u00fcckt.). \nNigel Ayers has been described as a Guerrilla Sign Ontologist, cutting-up and pasting the contents of the human psyche. With a background in avant-garde art, his work has grown from audio visual installations through underground video works which changed the shape of British television.
\nIn the early eighties Nocturnal Emissions hit London with a barrage of seminal funk; pioneering the use of sound samplers, multi-cultural collage and electronic noise. They became a shape shifting chameleon lightening the darkness of post-industrial music, combining extremist performance art and video displays with apocalyptic beat music. Nocturnal Emissions have since been credited as a catalyst for a generation or two of sound workers.
\nHowever, at the height of their success, the Emissions decided to shun the crass commercialism that had developed around them, and to develop their work as a secret alchemy. Nigel Ayers has continued to work with a strong underground of cult support, avoiding music industry fashions, and following his own creative path he concentrated on creating a strong sense of a wilderness identity through sound.
