Die 50. Ausgabe der Ger\u00e4uschwelten pr\u00e4sentiert wieder eine gro\u00dfe bandbreite zeitgen\u00f6ssischer Experimentalkl\u00e4nge. Besonders gespannt sein darf man auf den Auftritt von Colin Potter, der erstmals solo in Deutschland live zu sehen ist. Potter ist seit den 1980er Jahren eine zentrale Figur des britischen Undergrounds und hat in seinem Studio zahlreiche Alben von so Gr\u00f6\u00dfen wie Current 93, Nurse With Wound oder Organum produziert. Column One, das Dada-Kollektiv aus Berlin, wird eine Multimedia-Performance pr\u00e4sentieren, welche das Publikum \u00fcberraschen wird. Das junge Hamburger Projekt Bohrmaschine Privat bitte 16 elektrische Bohrmaschinen per Midisteuerung zum Tanz in guter alter Neubauten-Tradition. Und das belgische Duo Kraken eine Ambient-Show mit Unterwasserszenarien pr\u00e4sentieren. Ger\u00e4uschwelten wird gef\u00f6rdert durch das Kulturamt der Stadt M\u00fcnster.<\/p>\n

Colin Potter has been involved within the world of underground music since the late 1970s. He founded one of the earliest cassette labels in the UK (ICR), releasing work by artists such as himself, David Jackman, Andrew Chalk and others. He has been a quiet key figure in the production of work by several artists such as Nurse With Wound, Current 93 and Organum.<\/p>\n

Der Hamburger Wolfram Meier bitte 16 elektrische Bohrmaschinen zum Tanz. In einer konzertanten Installation werden die Ger\u00e4te per Midicontroller live angesteuert und ihre Bohrger\u00e4usche in einer Surround-Komposition eingesetzt. Bohrmaschine Privat ist Industriedesign wie es sein sollte; fetzige industrielle Ger\u00e4uschattacken und eine Optik nah am Spektakel.

Kraken is groping around from the discomforting depths of nautilus again with another voyage through the haunted abyss.\u00a0 The belgian masters of nautical ambient, the duo Ricardo Gomez and Joris Vermost, present their new piece.\u00a0 Not on heavy blue vinyl this time, the journey takes longer now, it comes on an eight track cd in an A5 cardboard folder.
\nOn a shipwrecked ship, haunted by the ghosts of the drowned, calls from the isolation of the neptunal underworld.\u00a0 A little girl among the lost… a tragedy has taken place and this reminds us.\u00a0 Then, a voice mail message from one of the victims of the massacre in Blankenberge interacts with the signals on your radio and the receiver becomes a medium.\u00a0 Do you hear the deceased reaching out to you, asking for your attention ?\u00a0 Disconcerting in their dismay they are backed by seductive, subtle solemn ringings and sweeps.\u00a0 And far from everyday reality, in the black cabin, the sound of gulls clatters buried in an ominous drone as we get carried away on a dreamscape.\u00a0 The bell tolls.\u00a0 The cabin as a coffin.
\nThe sound swirls through the windings of a whelk. It whisles and shivers, yet the sea nymph can’t find the shell she lost.\u00a0 It’s swept away by the waves that introduce us to the next story.\u00a0 A girl wants to tell us something, yet her voice is so muffled underneath the other sonorities, we cannot understand her.\u00a0 So we join the seamen’s club for another sinister tale, this time told by the rumbling sea.\u00a0 It sounds harsh now, in this club of ghosts, ruled by secrets.\u00a0 Cries, a talking voice in the distance, the secrets are kept on dense and intense ride through dismal spheres.\u00a0 The truth is hidden, but we are certain now : it is disconcerting.\u00a0 So sing to chase the demons.\u00a0 An exotic, strange chant, and we’re swept away by the waves, eventually to wake up one thousand miles under the sea, where all is quiet.\u00a0 This work is a cinematic travel through unworldly, enchanting atmospheres, grabs you tighter in its tentacles with every listen.\u00a0 The chant of the Kraken – hypnotizing you.<\/p>\n
