Der Mann hat mit Virgin Prunes Gro\u00dfes geleistet und ist nun der Sachverwalter f\u00fcr Melancho-Pop von der Gr\u00fcnen Insel. Lustig, dass Saturn in K\u00f6ln das neue Album tats\u00e4chlich im &#8222;Weltmusik&#8220;-Fach &#8222;Irland&#8220; ablegt. So war das sicher nicht gemeint von Gavin Friday, der die qu\u00e4lenden Themen und emotionalen Schwelbr\u00e4nde der Insel in bittere Kommentare verpackt und sie gleichzeitig\u00a0 personalisiert umleitet auf eigene Befindlichkeiten. Dies funktioniert ganz prima im Cinemascope-Pop von <strong>Catholic<\/strong>. Feiste TripHop-Grooves und s\u00e4ttliche Arrangements f\u00fchren dazu, dass die Kritik an Moral, Religion und der ganzen fehlgelaufenen Lebensweise nur noch \u00e4tzender wirkt. <strong>A Song That Hurts<\/strong> fasst die Gem\u00fctslage bestens zusammen.
