Viel ist komisch: Das quasi-religi\u00f6se Artwork, die leicht gr\u00f6\u00dfenwahnsinnige Anmutung des Ganzen, das im Booklet abgedruckte Interview mit dem Serienm\u00f6rder Ted Bundy, von dem nicht klar ist, in welcher Beziehung es zum Release steht. Und die obskure Kunstfigur Paul Chain selbst ist auch schwer zu fassen: Als Leader der Metal Band  Death SS (nunja&#8230;) in den sp\u00e4ten 1970ern auf den Plan getreten hat sich Paul Chain an gro\u00dfformatigen konzeptuellen St\u00fccken mit Operncharakter versucht. Die Doppel CD ist der Reissue dieser ersten Outings als gigantomanischer Hexenmeister, mit progartigen Gitarrenl\u00e4ufen, Vincent Price Orgelakkorden und jaulend im Hintergrund eingestreuten Vocals mit viel Hall. Alles nicht ohne Reiz, weil es so seltsam, so eigen, so beharrlich untrendy ist.
