It is with a heavy heart that we say goodbye to Carla Subito, the driving force behind the experimental electronic project Fetisch Park. Christian Schöne (as he was called in real life) died in the days around Christmas 2025 after a long illness. He has left behind an impressive body of work as Fetisch Park. Ever since meeting Carla in person for a Fetisch Park interview for my aufabwegen magazine some time in the 1990ies we stayed loosely in touch and I was very happy to have Fetisch Park with the piece „I Could“ on the aufabwegen50 compilation CD. Especially the albums Ego Ex Nihil, Zungenpflug and Trost will remain in our list of treasured works – very unique, dark and mysterious and rhythmically complex works. We will remember Carla Subito as a very kind and generous man, may he rest in piece.
